Boeing sells Wisk flying taxi, drone units to Archer

Boeing is selling its Wisk, SkyGrid, and Insitu units, which focus on flying taxis and drones, to Archer Aviation Inc. This move allows Boeing to concentrate on its core commercial and defense businesses while acquiring an almost 20% stake in Archer and forming a technology-sharing partnership. The acquisition is expected to accelerate Archer's autonomous aircraft ambitions and reshape its shareholder base, though FAA certification for Archer's Midnight aircraft is still at least a year away.
