Boeing's New 737-7 Offers About 10% More Range Potential
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has granted Boeing an amended type certificate for the new 737-7 airplane, clearing it for commercial service. This variant is the smallest and longest-range member of the 737 MAX family, seating 135–160 passengers and offering a range of up to 3,800 nautical miles. The certification involved over 1,000 hours of testing and addresses environmental benefits with 20% lower fuel use and CO2 emissions, and a 50% smaller noise footprint compared to its predecessors.
