CMS Energy plans to sell renewable assets to focus on regulated utilities

CMS Energy announced plans to sell its non-utility renewable energy development operations at NorthStar Clean Energy Services to focus on its regulated utilities. This strategic move aims to simplify the corporate structure, generate approximately $500 million, and have nearly all earnings come from regulated utilities after 2027. The company will retain NorthStar's key Michigan assets and also discussed its second-quarter earnings, ongoing rate cases, and challenges related to a potential Microsoft data center.
